Social media giant, Instagram, added a new tool to its list of features. And this tools helps you distinguish real Instagram emails from an email that’s a phishing scam in disguise.

Now, if you receive an email from the company and want to see if it’s real or not, you can head over to the “Emails from Instagram” option in the app’s Security settings. Once there, you can see a list of emails the company has sent you over the last 14 days.

The update may take some time to appear in your settings, but once it does, you’ll be able to see security emails and “other” emails sent to you from the company.

And if you see an email there, you can be sure that it’s legit.
