Verizon is taking steps to combat annoying spam calls. And the good news is, it’s free!
The service, which is available to Android and iOS users, is a call filter. And according to Verizon, when activated the filter will let customers “get alerts when a call is likely spam, report unsolicited numbers, and automatically block robocalls based on their preferred level of risk.”
Additionally, while everyone will get the core protection, the company notes that “certain features will vary based on the type of phone a customer has.”
While it’s free, unfortunately, the call filter is not available to Verizon’s prepaid customers. But for postpaid accounts, an additional $2.99 per month on your phone bill, will get you:
